Every Winter Service Your Property Needs

Plowing, salting, sidewalks, and hauling for Akron and all of Summit County. One crew, one contact, one invoice.

What We Do

Six Services That Cover the Whole Season

Most customers combine several of these into a single seasonal agreement. Mix them however your property needs.

Residential Driveway Plowing

Residential Driveway Plowing

Cleared before you back out in the morning

Your driveway is on the route before the morning commute. We plow at a 2-inch trigger by default, dig out the apron the city plow buries, and hand-clear the walk to your front door.

  • Cleared before 6:00 AM on route days
  • Driveway apron dug out after city plows pass
  • Walkway and front step shoveled
  • Seasonal, per-push, or per-inch billing

Commercial Lot Plowing

Commercial Lot Plowing

Open lots, clear aisles, no liability gaps

Retail centers, medical offices, apartment complexes, churches, and industrial yards across Summit County. We build a site map before the first flake so stacking areas, fire lanes, and accessible spaces are handled the same way every storm.

  • Site-specific snow plan and stacking map
  • Overnight service so you open on time
  • Time-stamped photo documentation each visit
  • $2M general liability, certificate on request

Salting & De-Icing

Salting & De-Icing

Bulk salt and treated blends, evenly spread

A plowed lot with black ice on it is still a claim waiting to happen. Our SaltDogg spreaders lay down a calibrated, even application on lots, drive lanes, and walkways — ahead of the freeze when the forecast allows, immediately after when it does not.

  • Bulk rock salt and treated blends
  • Anti-icing pre-treatment ahead of storms
  • Ice-melt for sidewalks and entryways
  • Overnight refreeze checks on contract lots

Sidewalk & Walkway Clearing

Sidewalk & Walkway Clearing

The surfaces that actually cause slip-and-falls

Crews clear entrances, sidewalks, stairs, ramps, and dumpster approaches by hand and with walk-behind blowers, then treat them with ice-melt. Ohio property owners carry real exposure here, so we document every pass.

  • Entrances, stairs, ramps, and accessible routes
  • Walk-behind blowers for deep accumulation
  • Calcium chloride ice-melt application
  • Included in most commercial contracts

Snow Relocation & Hauling

Snow Relocation & Hauling

When the piles start eating your parking

After a long lake-effect stretch, snow piles swallow parking spaces and block sight lines at the exits. We push piles back with loaders or truck the snow off site entirely so you get your lot back.

  • Loader stacking and pile relocation
  • Off-site hauling by the truckload
  • Sight-line and fire-lane restoration
  • Scheduled between storms or on call

  • Per-push and per-inch options also available

The Iron

Equipment That Shows Up Ready

Gear gets serviced in the fall and staged before every forecast event. Nothing waits on a repair in the middle of a storm.

Boss DXT Plows

Flared blade wings carry more snow per pass and the trip-edge design protects the truck when it catches a raised seam or a buried curb. Clean scrape, fewer passes, faster routes.

SaltDogg Spreaders

Calibrated, variable-rate spreading for bulk rock salt and treated blends. Even coverage means no over-application on one aisle and bare ice on the next.

Loaders & Pushers

For lots where a truck plow alone can’t keep up. Box pushers move volume across open pavement, and loaders stack or relocate piles once they start taking parking spaces.

Walk-Behinds & Hand Crews

Blowers, shovels, and ice-melt for sidewalks, stairs, ramps, and entryways — the surfaces that generate the claims a plow truck can never reach.

How Pricing Works

Three Ways to Pay for Snow Removal

Every property is priced on its own, but it always follows one of these three structures. Here’s how to pick.

Per-Push

Per visit billed each time we service you

A set rate every time we plow. Good fit for properties that only need service during the bigger storms, or for a first winter before committing to a season.

  • Pay only for storms you need
  • Same crews, same equipment
  • Salting available per application
  • Serviced after contract routes
  • No season-long commitment

Per-Inch Tiered

By depth tiered accumulation ranges

Billing scaled to what actually fell: 1-3 inches, 3-6 inches, 6-12 inches, and up. Common on larger commercial lots where a dusting and a foot are very different jobs.

  • Cost matches the storm size
  • Transparent tier schedule up front
  • Preferred for large commercial lots
  • Combines with salting contracts
  • Documented depth readings per event

Pricing depends on driveway length or lot size, number of entrances, sidewalk footage, salting needs, and your trigger depth. Tell us about the property and we’ll put a written number in front of you — usually the same day.

Why the G.O.A.T.

Greatest Of All Time Isn’t Just the Name

Anyone can bolt a blade to a pickup. Here’s what actually separates a snow contractor you can rely on at 3 AM.

Fully Licensed & Insured

$2 million general liability plus commercial auto. Certificates of insurance issued to your property before the season starts.

Photo-Documented Visits

Every commercial service is logged with time-stamped photos. If a slip-and-fall claim ever lands on your desk, the record already exists.

Boss DXT & SaltDogg Equipped

Boss DXT plows for clean scrape and stacking power, SaltDogg spreaders for even material application. Maintained and staged before every event.

24/7 Storm Dispatch

A real person answers the storm line at 3 AM. We run continuous loops during long lake-effect events instead of waiting for it to stop.

Akron Locals, Not a Call Center

We live here. We know which Summit County hills ice first and which lots the city plow re-buries an hour after we leave.

Clear, Written Agreements

Trigger depth, service window, salting terms, and pricing are all in writing before winter. No surprise invoices in February.

Straight Answers

Snow Removal Questions, Answered

The things Akron property owners ask us most, before they sign anything.

What snowfall depth triggers a plow at my property?

Our standard trigger is 2 inches for residential driveways and 1 inch for commercial lots, because commercial properties carry more slip-and-fall exposure. Both are adjustable in your agreement. Some medical and senior-living clients run a zero-tolerance plan where we service on any measurable accumulation.

How fast do you get to a property after it snows?

Commercial contract lots are cleared overnight so you open on schedule. Residential contract driveways are cleared before 6:00 AM on route days. During long lake-effect events we run continuous loops rather than waiting for the storm to end, so accumulation never gets ahead of us.

What is the difference between seasonal, per-push, and per-inch pricing?

A seasonal contract is one flat price for the entire winter with unlimited pushes, so your budget is fixed no matter how bad it gets. Per-push bills a set rate every time we service you. Per-inch bills on tiered accumulation ranges. Most Akron customers choose seasonal because our snowfall is both heavy and unpredictable.

Do you clear the pile the city plow leaves at the end of my driveway?

Yes. Clearing the driveway apron is part of every residential route. If a city plow passes after we do and re-buries your apron, contract customers get a return trip at no additional charge.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We carry $2 million in general liability coverage plus commercial auto, and we will issue a certificate of insurance naming your property before service begins. Every commercial visit is documented with time-stamped photos in case a claim is ever filed.

When should I sign up for the season?

Before November 1 if you can. Route capacity in Akron, Cuyahoga Falls, Stow, and Green fills up by early fall, and pre-season signups lock in the lower rate. We do accept mid-season customers when route space allows.

Do you salt as well as plow?

Yes, and for commercial properties we strongly recommend it. Plowing removes the snow; salting handles the melt-and-refreeze cycle that produces black ice overnight. We run SaltDogg spreaders for bulk material and hand-apply ice-melt on walkways and entryways.

What areas do you cover?

Akron and the surrounding communities: all of Summit County, plus Kent, Ravenna, Streetsboro, and Aurora in Portage County, Wadsworth, Medina, and Brunswick in Medina County, and North Canton, Canton, Hartville, and Massillon in Stark County.
